From the Streets of Hanoi
Today, I bring to your table a dish that's close to my heart – a vegan twist on the classic Asian Beef with Broccoli. It's a recipe that celebrates the joy of plant-based eating, all while keeping the soul of the original dish alive.
I was wandering through a Hanoi market where I discovered a small, unassuming stall with aromatic beef and broccoli in glossy sauce. Though drawn to the dish, being vegan created an internal conflict. This experience sparked my mission to recreate the meal using plant-based ingredients instead.
Back in my travel kitchen, I experimented with vegan beef alternatives and discovered that vegan oyster sauce maintains the authenticity of the dish while keeping it plant-based. After multiple attempts, I achieved success.
I recall sitting on a Hanoi balcony, tasting the final result—the rich, savory sauce coating the succulent vegan beef, the broccoli providing a fresh, crisp counterpoint.
This recipe is more than sustenance: it represents a fusion of traditional Vietnamese cuisine and modern vegan cooking, symbolizing how plant-based methods can honor culinary traditions while respecting ethical commitments.
