But until you are broken, you don’t know what you are made of
I have a good and bad relationship with Lego. I always buy it because my son loves them. I also believe that Lego make the kids creative and smart; but at the same time , I abhor them because often than not, some small Lego pieces are just left lying in the living room.
Today is one of those days when I have to pick some Lego pieces on the carpet. As I was picking them up, it dawned on me, “HEY! LIFE IS LIKE LEGOS!”
Yup! Life is like Lego indeed. Life and Lego are consist of many different parts. Each part denotes a unique role to play. There is no need to categorize somebody as echelon in the society. There is no longer lesser role nor bigger role because each one contributes in creating a masterpiece. An executive cannot function well if there is no plumber who will fix his bathroom or a businessman will not earn a profit if the consumers do not buy his product, right?
With Lego, we have to follow the manual so that we will not end up with jumbled creation. Life is the same. We can use those who succeeded before us as mentors or we can learn from the mistakes of others as our guide to make better choices. We can read books like the Bible or any biography books as guide too.
